A couple gets suspicious of their babysitter when the family dog starts acting aggressively towards her, so they set up a phone to record her hoping to hear her abusing the dog — what they found was much worse.
Dogs are really man's best friend, and over the years, there have been many instances that proved that statement correct.
An example of such an incident is the 2013 story about the South Carolina babysitter who had been abusing seven-month-old Finn Jordan for five months since she was hired.

The family first noticed something was weird when their ordinarily docile and friendly dog, a lab/German shepherd mix named Killian, started acting up when the babysitter, a woman named Alexis Khan, 22, came around. Benjamin Jordan, the father of the boy, said:
"We noticed the dog was getting very defensive when Alexis was around. He would growl and stand between her and our son. His hair would stand up on the back of his neck and we knew something was up.''
The Jordans had run a background check on Khan before they hired her and her history of babysitting jobs convinced them that she was the right candidate to cater to their son while they were away at work.
The dog's behavior was quite unusual to them, which made them wonder. But, of course, they initially thought their pet hated her because she had been abusive towards him, so they propped an iPhone beneath one of the couches in their living room.
It had the sound recorder enabled, but according to court documents and officials, it was not sounds of the dog being abused they heard but the painful cries of their child being dealt with by Khan.
They heard her talking to the baby rudely and using expletives while they heard him crying. They also heard noises that sounded like Khan had also physically assaulted their child. Jordan said:
"We just could not believe it."
They quickly got the baby to the hospital for a checkup. Doctors determined nothing was wrong, but the cops were alerted. There was initial concern that an audio recording would not suffice to press charges against Khan; however, a Charleston police detective got a full confession out of her.
About a year later, Khan appeared in court and pleaded guilty to assault and battery, after which she was sentenced to a maximum of three years in prison. Her name has also been placed in a registry of child abusers, ensuring that she will never work with children again.
Meanwhile, the hero of the day, Killian, received training to become a psychiatric service animal. There's no doubt he's been getting a lot more treats since then.
