A brand new store opened in New York City, creating hype among people, especially women. Surprisingly enough, the newly-opened store claimed to sell husbands, attracting a large female audience.
Soon afterward, the store became the talk of the town and its advertisements could be found in every nook and corner of NYC. Women were thrilled to explore the store for themselves and buy their favorite husbands. Indeed, it was an impressive offer.

One day, a woman was sitting in a local cafe enjoying her favorite latte when she heard two ladies talking about the store. Their sheer enthusiasm convinced her to check out the store for herself, so she decided to go there sometime in the evening.
As soon as she got to the entrance, she saw a couple of instructions:
"Welcome to our store. Here are a few instructions that you need to read carefully before entering."
Her curiosity and interest were piqued even more as she read further:
"You may visit this store ONLY ONCE!
There are 6 floors and the value of the products increase as you ascend the flights.
You may choose any item from a particular floor or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you CANNOT go back down except to exit the building!"
After reading the instructions, she stepped inside the Husband Store, determined to find her best match. In a short while, she reached the first floor. When she got off the escalator, there was a signboard that read:
"Welcome to Floor 1 of the Husband Store. Here you will find men who have jobs."

Instead of shopping on the first floor, she decided to go up another floor, recalling from the instructions that the value of the products would increase with every floor. So she took the escalator and landed straight on the second floor. Again, she saw a signboard.
"Welcome to Floor 2 of the Husband Store. These men have jobs and love kids."
The woman was pleased with the attributes of husbands on the second floor, but she decided to keep going. So she left the floor and went to the third floor. She found the signboard here as well, which read:
"Welcome to Floor 3. These men have jobs, love kids, and are extremely good-looking."
"Wow," sighed the woman. She was clearly awe-struck, but something forced her to keep going.

Finally, she came to the fourth floor, and the sign read:
"Welcome to Floor 4. These men have jobs, love kids, are drop-dead good-looking, and help with housework."
"Oh, mercy me!" exclaimed the woman with extreme joy. "I can hardly stand still!"
However, she didn't stop on the fourth floor and went straight up to another floor. Here, the sign read:
"Welcome to Floor 5. These men have jobs, love kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with housework, and have a strong romantic streak."
She couldn't believe her eyes and was so tempted to stay, but against her better judgment, she went up to the sixth floor. Now the sign read:
"You are now on Floor 6. You are the 31,456,012th visitor of this floor. There are no men here. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store."
The higher the floor, the better husband, but make sure you never set foot on the sixth floor!
If you liked this joke, you might find this one funny too. It's about a woman who often asked her husband to accompany her when shopping at the department store. To her surprise, she received a letter from the store's management one day.
