Despite not always seeing eye to eye, Shaun and Lea have been inseparable since they got together at the beginning of last season. Unfortunately, season 4 was especially hard on the couple as Lea suffered a miscarriage.

RISKIER MEDICAL CASES

Over each of the four seasons of the popular medical drama television series, doctors and residents have been faced with complicated, mysterious, and frequently life-threatening medical cases.

Although the show spent most of season four dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, viewers are anxious to see Shaun and the remaining medical staff handle more "unsolvable" cases next season.

NEW RESIDENT

With Claire leaving and Dr. Morgan Reznick, played by Fiona Gubelmann, could not perform surgical residency, a few vacancies might open up. Fans are excited to see some new, young faces join the cast.

In an interview with the TV Line, executive producer David Shore opened up about Claire's exit storyline. According to Shore, they did not want to cause another blow to the character with the ending.

The executive producer explained that Claire was meant to run to something and not away from it. Additionally, they were hoping she would move to a place she would be comfortable with.
