Ciara graced the January issue of Self magazine, and inside, she opened up about her life with Russell Wilson and their three kids during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ciara noted that communication is one of the greatest challenges faced by couples but admitted that she and Wilson always made sure to communicate if they had any issues.

Not only did it help them resolve their issues, but effective communication was also a game-changer for the couple, with Ciara admitting that they were always able to break things down. Altogether, they came out stronger.

Ciara also explained that she and Wilson always ensured they were both feeling good about their relationship. This helped the couple put each other first.

Her relationship with Wilson was not the only thing Ciara had to deal with during the pandemic. As a mother to three kids, one of which is only five months old, parenting did not come easy for the singer.

Ciara described parenting during the pandemic as some sort of organized chaos but maintained that it was an enjoyable experience for her.

Surprisingly, still in the midst of the pandemic, Ciara was able to lose nearly 30 pounds following the birth of Win.

The singer explained that despite the challenges that came with the pandemic, she was able to adjust and embrace being a parent with gladness.

With her oldest kids, Future and Sienna, unable to attend school, Ciara stepped up to provide them with a comfortable environment for virtual learning.

Apart from having to keep her love with Wilson going and helping her kids with their virtual classes, Ciara had another monumental experience — the birth of her third child, Win Harrison.

The singer recalled her delivery experience, revealing that she wore a protective mask throughout the process as she and her doctor were not ready to take chances.

Ciara welcomed Win on July 23, with only Wilson by her side following the hospital's policies about limiting visitors in the medical facilities across the country.

Surprisingly, still in the midst of the pandemic, Ciara was able to lose nearly 30 pounds following the birth of Win. The singer achieved this with the help of fitness brand Weight Watchers, for which she serves as an ambassador.

In addition to staying fit, Ciara also recorded several achievements during the pandemic, including the launch of her fashion line and a fragrance.

COVID-19 might have put the world on hold, but for Ciara, it was not enough to hold her back. Through and through, the singer has proven to be a queen.
