A Vancouver-based choir turned Mariah Carey's holiday hit, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," into a hilarious parody that fits with the current pandemic situation.
Mariah Carey has become a holiday staple since her hit song, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," shot to popularity and topped the music charts.
However, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, a lot of Christmas plans all over the world were canceled, and many had to feel the holiday spirit through mere decorations and songs.

Recently, a Vancouver-based choir made their own version of Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by replacing the lyrics with statements that fit the current situation.
The Virtual Pop Choir debuted the song online with over 70 members harmonizing to hit the right notes. The song's chorus was replaced with, "Together we'll pull through, I will social distance from you."

Other wishes mentioned in the song were face masks that don't fog up glasses, more shows to watch on streaming networks, including Broadway productions, and a vaccine.
This year, Carey gave her fans another Christmas song to enjoy as she debuted her version of "Oh Santa!" featuring other talented singers.

The Virtual Pop Choir is managed by Vancouver's Chorus Studio and was created at the beginning of the pandemic. The choir shifted from physical performance to virtual shows to keep their community united and hopeful.
The singing group's song of choice was excellent as Carey's track continues to gain recognition and be played throughout the world as soon as the holiday season approaches.
So far, her Christmas hit has been turned into a children's book, complete with beautiful illustrations, that focuses on a young girl's wish to have a new puppy.
"All I Want For Christmas Is You" also turned into an animated movie, based on the children's book, and an 8.5" x 11" coloring book with festive holiday drawings waiting to be filled in with colors and designs.
