The Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation is honoring the late Kobe Bryant for his birthday. Here is how they remembered the basketball legend.

This weekend on what would have been Kobe Bryant's birthday, the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation is honoring the late star.

The group which aims to continue Bryant's work with youth sports shared a touching video produced by Nike at 2:24 pm, a significant time as Gianna Bryant wore No. 2 while her father wore No.24.

In the post, you hear Bryant's voice playing over clips and photos of the basketball legend as the foundation looks at a better tomorrow.

The video includes one of the former Los Angeles Lakers star's iconic lines where he speaks about becoming the best version of yourself saying:

"I don't care who you are, where you're from, doesn't matter. You wake up every single day to get better today than you were yesterday. That's always the most important thing,"

Bryant and his daughter, Gianna were killed in January of this year when a helicopter carrying them and seven others crashed in Calabasas, California.

The group was on the way to a basketball game at the Mamba Sports Academy when tragedy struck. Amongst those killed were Payton Chester and Alyss Altobelli who both played on the same team as Gianna, their parents, and the pilot Ara Zobayan.

The video looks at what Bryant taught his fans and the legacy that he left behind.

Nike also paid tribute to Bryant, sharing a short film named "Better" that celebrates the athlete's drive for perfection.

Narrated by Kendrick Lamar, the video looks at what Bryant taught his fans and the legacy that he left behind. The rapper said:

"Kobe taught us to be better. Better dreamer, better waker.Better stretcher, better walker, better talker.Better at walking the walk, and talking the talk. Just be better."

The emotional video also celebrated Bryant as a father, showing him with all of his children and ending with fans chanting his name.

In addition to the tribute, the Mamba & Mambacita Foundation also revealed its new website after discontinuing the Mamba Sports Academy.
