Tamar Braxton was hospitalized on July 16 after her boyfriend found her unconscious and unresponsive due to a possible "overdose" of prescription pills.
On July 16, Tamar Braxton's boyfriend David Adefeso called the LAPD at roughly around 9:45 pm. He and Braxton were staying at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles.
Adefeso had found his girlfriend unconscious and unresponsive at their residence and he wasted no time to get help.

APPARENT ATTEMPT TO END HER LIFE
According to the LAPD, it was a case of a medical emergency, potentially due to prescription pills overdose and alcohol. It was an apparent attempt by the singer to take her own life.
The news got out and spread like wildfire. Braxton was trending on social media and was all over the headlines. Fans and celebrities showed their love and support for the singer and prayed for her swift recovery.
Weeks before the incident, the reality star accused WeTV's executives of destroying her family and making her "suicidal."
Among such celebrities were Mariah Carey, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, and Viola Davis. All of them expressed their concerns for Braxton and took to social media to share heartwarming messages dedicated to her.
In a tweet, Carey shared how she is praying for Braxton and said that she loves her. Meanwhile, Davis reminded how it is important to make mental health a priority in a tweet and sent out prayers for Braxton and her family.
Harris posted a photo of herself and Braxton on Instagram and shared how she is praying for the singer and called her "family." "We love u [sic] lady," she wrote.
HER BOSSES MADE HER 'SUICIDAL'
Braxton is reportedly in stable condition following her hospitalization. According to her rep, she had had a pretty tough and emotional day.
Weeks before the incident, the reality star accused WeTV's executives of destroying her family and making her "suicidal." Prior to that, the company had sent an email outlining its efforts to support the Black community.
The reality star accused the network of showing the worst side of her family in "Braxton Family Values" and led them to find the worst in each other.
Braxton further accused them of exposing her greatest secret. According to her, they revealed how she was sexually assaulted and abused from the age of 6 to 16 in front of the crew members and her family. She felt like ending her own life after that.
