Duchess Camilla Calls Reunion with Grandchildren after Lockdown a Great Treat

As soon as the lockdown restrictions eased, Duchess Camilla quickly went to see his grandchildren. She missed them sorely while in isolation.

Aside from reuniting with their grandchildren, Camilla and Prince Charles also visited the NHS, as reported by ITV News. They spoke with NHS staff and extended their gratitude for their tireless service.

The royal couple had family and frontline staff on their minds after stay-at-home orders were lifted. Their visit to the Gloucester Royal Hospital was their first public engagement since the UK began grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic.

A GREAT TREAT

As reported by Hello Magazine, Camilla has five grandchildren from her first marriage. She and former husband Andrew Parker Bowles have two children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes.

Tom has two children, Lola and Freddy, while Lopes is mother to three – daughter Eliza and twins Gus and Louis. Camilla said she was delighted to see her grandchildren.

"First time last weekend, not hug them but see them, it was a great treat," she said. The children were earlier seen in the Duchess' Birkhall living room and office.

Tom, the eldest son of Camilla, is a food critic, as reported by Express. Meanwhile, her daughter, Laura, is an art curator.

Camilla's stepsons, Prince William and Prince Harry have four children between them Prince William shares three children with Duchess Kate – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

While she could not see her grandchildren in person, the Duchess of Cornwall spent time in the garden of her home, as reported by Daily Mail. But she admitted it felt strange that she could not hug them.

The Duchess also spoke about hope during this time of crisis. She said that the pandemic has brought the best out in people. She shared stories of people helping each other.
