Tamara "Taj" George, a member of the chart-topping R&B group SWV, recently revealed that her son had emergency surgery. The singer shared a photo with him from the hospital bed.

Eriq Michael is Taj’s only son with her former NFL player hubby Eddie George, so it’s not surprising that she was worried about his health.

In a recent Instagram post, the singer shared a picture of Eriq still in a hospital bed while she held on to his hand.

"It was her friend and her friend said 'my girlfriend wants to meet you.' So I walk on over and it was her!"

"God is so good!" she gushed in the caption. "My nerves were shot because I was going to have to miss my baby’s emergency surgery this morning."

"I couldn’t get a particular song out of my head, ‘Trust In The Lord’ by @mserickawarren. I woke up ready to honor my commitment only to find out I wasn’t going anywhere today because of a typhoon. I’m praying for Japan, but my heart can rest well because He came through once again. Amen. And my baby is home resting with me by his side."

HOW THEY MET

Taj and Eddie welcomed Eriq in 20015, one year after they tied the knot. The "I'm So into You" singer is also a stepmother to Eddie’s son from a previous relationship, Jaire.

Last year, Eddie, 46, recalled his wife blowing him off the first time they met over two decades ago. The former Dallas Cowboys running back told OWN’s "Black Love Doc" that he finally spoke to Taj on one of the most memorable nights of his career.

"We were in New York City; I’d just won the Heisman Trophy. Fresh off of television, just won it feeling good about life with my boys from Philly," he recalled.

Eddie continued the story, saying he noticed Taj walking by with a group of girls and remembered her playing him the year before. He decided not to pursue her and see if things would work out on their own. And they did.

HAND OF FATE

"I just stand there, I didn’t do anything just holding my ground and I get a little tap on the shoulder and it was her friend and her friend said 'my girlfriend wants to meet you.' So I walk on over and it was her! And I immediately say to her, so I met you last year at this time."

MAKING IT WORK

Taj challenged her husband’s recollection playfully, saying: "First of all, I never followed football… isn’t it funny how he remembers everything but can’t remember to take the trash out?"

Taj, 48, and Eddie, have been through so many experiences, including health challenges, career changes, music tours, and reality TV. In all, the couple seems to continue growing in love and devotion.

In 2017, Taj and Eddie celebrated 13 years of marriage, and even though the former was on tour at the time, she made sure to pay tribute to their love.

"It took us three tries to get on track, 5 years dating (4 years long distance, 1 year in the same city), and 1 year of engagement to reach today," Taj captioned a collage of their wedding photos. "Happy Lucky 13th Anniversary My Love."
