Hollywood stars and fans mourn as the 72-year-old actor, John Wesley, passes on after intense battle with multiple myeloma.

It was with shock and sadness that Hollywood stars and fans received the news of the passing of John Wesley on Sunday, September 8.

The actor was best known for his guest roles on hit television shows like "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Frasier," "Martin" and "The Jamie Foxx Show." The Wrap shared that John died Saturday at the age of 72 after a long battle with multiple myeloma.

The "Stop or My Mom Will Shoot" star was a veteran of the Vietnam War who earned degrees from the University of California, San Diego and the University of San Diego. He was not only a war veteran, but he also created a following for himself in movies, TV shows, and on stage.

John acted alongside famous stars like James Spader, Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington Albert Finney, Robert Guillaume, Barbra Streisand, Tim Burton, James Earl Jones, among many others.

According to Deadline, he won an Atlas Awards for Best Supporting Actor in Lillian Hellman's Toys in the Attic at the Old Globe Theatre.

Shortly before his passing, he was part of the Los Angeles Ovation Award-winning production of Stick Fly, which got the award for Best Ensemble. He was loved by his co-stars who took to social media to share their memories of him and send words of encouragement to his family.

Before his death, John belonged to a "community" of actors, with deep roots in the American theatre. With his degree in Political Science, the actor went on to shake the world of movies and TV shows with his versatile style.
